LYMPHEDEMA THERAPY

Freedom Massage provides treatment of primary and secondary lymphedema to prevent pathological and clinical consequences of the disease process. Lymphedema may be caused by trauma to the lymphatic system due to chronic venous insufficiency, obesity, surgical procedures, injury, infection, cancer treatment, radiation, post-traumatic swelling, lipedema, and other pathologies.

Lymphedema and Lipedema treatments available in both the BARRIE and BRACEBRIDGE clinic locations with a certified lymphedema therapist and certified compression garment specialist.

Lymphedema certification is held with Klose Training, the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, International Lymphedema and Wound Training Institute, Monarch Education, Dr. Vodder School – International (Vodder 1, 2, 3, lymphedema taping).

Constantly striving to provide excellence in treatment; further training has been completed in advance lymphedema treatments, head and neck lymphatic treatment, post mastectomy and breast reconstruction treatment, wound care therapy, scar tissue management, wound care management post-surgery rehab, oncology massage, hospital massage treatment, and palliative hospice massage.

Treatment of lymphedema beyond the traditional lymphatic drainage protocols may include any of the following: laser, oscillation therapy, photobiomodulation, shockwave, targeted radio frequency therapy, TENS, PEMF, EMS, BioCompression and CryoCompression and ultrasound.

Certified compression fitter with Juzo, Medi, L&R and Jobst for all forms of compression garments.
